Task Force members,
We recognize that getting to meetings during the summer can be a bit of a challenge, but want to encourage our regular members to attend tomorrow’s meeting. There will be no speaker, but we will be holding a discussion on the recent tragic death of a local victim, Shannon Lawrence. Tommie DeGonzague, our Fatality Review Committee Chair, will be leading the discussion about the systems involvement in this particular case. While this case is not yet appropriate for a traditional fatality review, we feel strongly that there are valuable insights into how we all work that can come out of this terrible event, and hope to engage in a discussion, rather than a review, on the matter.
The meeting will take place on Friday 7/8/11 in the 2nd floor of this Historic Courthouse in Canton. Networking and (bring your own) lunch will begin at 12:00 and discussion will begin at 12:30. Guests are welcome to participate in the discussion. We look forward to seeing you!
Don’t forget, tomorrow is the second Friday of the month (6/10/11)- DV Task Force Meeting. We are pleased to have Stan Hall, the Director of the Gwinnett County Victim Witness Assistance Program speak to us.

Meeting will be held in the Historic Courthouse in downtown Canton, 2nd floor, from 12:00-1:30. Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Bring your lunch if you’d like.
